David Downing, Brand Manager, brings his many years of branding and marketing experience to bear for ULA’s newest division. In this role, David oversees brand strategy and development for the agency’s clients, with a particular focus on the integration of destination promotion.
He joins the ULA team following an impressive 12-year tenure at Visit St. Pete Clearwater (VSPC), the official destination marketing organization of Florida’s Pinellas County, where he held the title of President and CEO for the last five years. Under David’s leadership, the destination’s tourism tax revenue reached nearly $60 million in 2018, making it one of the highest-grossing tourism destinations in the state of Florida. In early 2019, he was also honored by the Hospitality Sales and Marketing Association as one of the Top 25 Extraordinary Minds in Hospitality Sales, Marketing and Revenue Optimization.
