U.S. News recently named the Sarasota metro area one of the 100 Best Places to Live in the United States, ranking the area ahead of all other cities in Florida.

The 2017 list was determined by a public survey of people across the country to find out what is considered favorable in a city. One hundred metro areas in the country were evaluated based on quality of life, the job market, value of living and people’s desire to live there.

Some of United Landmark Associates esteemed clients enjoy locations in the center of this coveted metro area, including The Ritz Carlton Residences, Sarasota, The Mark Sarasota, Harbour Isle at Anna Maria Sound and the up-and-coming development of The Quay.

Sarasota ranked #21 with an overall score of 6.9 out of 10. The quality of life score took into account a number of factors, including the quality and availability of health care. The survey also factors in data from the United States Census Bureau, the Federal Bureau of Investigation and the Bureau of Labor Statistics, as well as U.S. News rankings of the Best High Schools and Best Hospitals.
